Kidlat Tahimik

The films of Philippine director Kidlat Tahimik constitute a fantastically exceptional oeuvre within post-colonial "Third Cinema". Largely created outside conventional paths of production, they are nevertheless ensnared in the secret agreements and  elective affinities that always exist between films. This website is dedicated to Kidlat Tahimik's oeuvre and was created on the occasion of the first complete retrospective, Cosmos and Nightmare: The Films of Kidlat Tahimik, at cinema Arsenal (Berlin) in March 2016.
